Origins Of The Renaissance In Tuscany

Moving from the Late Middle Ages, early Renaissance art and architecture emerged in the areas of Pisa and Siena which had transferred to Florence. The Byzantine and Gothic styles began to merge and incorporate hints of naturalism. Giovanni Pisano and Duccio were important to the future Renaissance artists.
